Customers Review - 2 hours massage course by Micky, Gold Coast Resident & Enthusiast
The first experience of Thai massage!
I have known and have been interested in Thai massage for a long time, particularly the Thai massage used by the Thai Royal family for ages. It is a combination of relaxation and therapeutic massage to improve your circulation, lymphatic system and body condition. I had pain from my lower back to my legs and I went looking for relief and found it with Thai massage treatment.

First of all, let's relax
Initially I had the 2hour full body massage which involves stretching and massage. I recommend wearing loose and light clothes. I went to the salon with tighter clothing and it wasnft suitable. The salon provides a suitable soft outfit.
In the beginning, the therapist laid me down, put a towel over my eyes and a warm towel on my feet that helped me relax so much I almost fell asleep. The massage starts from the tip of the toes similar to Shiatsu and felt so good.

Poses like Yoga
The slow massage with fingers and palms relieves tight muscles and feels great. The massage also involves relaxing and easy Yoga like positions sometimes. The therapist also stretched my body in a light, pleasant way, and even as a beginner, I understood how the therapist adjusted the body balance.

The pose like this!
My body is not that flexible but the therapistfs flexing and stretching just to the limit of comfort, loosened me up in preparation for more.

Relax with Shiatsu style massage
The therapist explained to me that she would apply a strong massage technique and to let her know if I felt any discomfort. I was surprised as to how strong she was, and the strong Shiatsu style massage was very good. I also like strong massage so I let her know I was fine. I was impressed with her professionalism.

Another pose with stretch method
I normally have chronic back pain and this pose was quite good to relieve my pain. I realized myself during the session, my body was out of balanced and thatfs why I had back pain. I felt this particular pose help adjust my body balance.

It's hard to be a therapist!
The therapist used all of her energy and strength and sometimes her full body weight to stretch my body such as this position. It would be really good to have a massage and stretching like this every day.

Scalp massage to finish off
The session finishes with a very relaxing scalp massage after full body massage and stretching.

Done!!
I know these photos won't explain everything that happened in a 2hour session, you'll really need to experience it yourself. I already had an idea that Thai massage was like a combination of Shiatsu, Chiropractic and Yoga, but honestly, I didn't imagine the therapy at THAI-MU would be as good as it was.
I have had a lower back pain for long time. Once I had to go to the hospital by ambulance because of that pain was so bad and I don't normally get satisfaction with average massage but Thai massage was magnificent.
Shiatsu uses the pushing at vital points and can sometimes be painful but it provides relief. Chiropractic movements are for adjusting joints that are out of position and Yoga improves internal systems and body balance with stretching.
I may not be right but this is my understanding of the effects from each therapy. Thai massage has the benefits of all of these. It is not just for relaxing but also stimulates the body from the inside and balances the entire body.
The therapist says sometimes you will have flatulence during the session because your body tries to release toxins and also often have to empty your bowels soon after the therapy. Yoga has a pose for constipation. When I was treated by the therapist and stretched my body in particular way, Thai massage has a similar affect to Yoga.
The explanation I received about Thai massage showed me that there are 10 energy lines through a human body and Thai massage will work along the energy lines and recondition the whole body. So it is not just for good feeing but also for getting body balance and good health.

Now I know that Thai massage is very good for my health, I would like to have a session regularly. My husband also has back pain and is very interested in the massage because I explained how good it was. Next time we will come as a couple. Thank you very much.
This course was $136 for 120mins (Normal price is $160), which is very reasonable and very good value. More courses are available at the salon.
